More About Us!
The OMI Cultural Participation Project in San Francisco (OMI-CPP) is a nonprofit designed to promote and support the preservation, celebration, and practice of the traditional culture of San Francisco District 11's diverse communities.
We seek to foster collaborations between community members and organizations to create opportunities for cultural exchange, education, and celebration. We serve our San Francisco District 11 neighbors, and help protect their dignity.

Why It Matters:
Dignity, Humanity and Identity
OMI Cultural Participation Project will leverage our collective resources, to encourage philanthropy and community service that impacts the OMI community in San Francisco District 11, affectionately known as “Lakeview”.
Through the power of cooperative giving, members will be able to pool their contributions to support meaningful and lasting solutions. While our focus is on supporting the Black and Brown community, we welcome and encourage any individual, no matter ethnicity, to support our collective effort.
Our community’s fabric is diverse, and every individual thread is needed to drive solutions. We welcome you.
“Ingleside” has been used as a place name for the area since the 1880s, when Ocean Avenue was just a dirt path branching off San Jose Avenue, used to reach Lake Merced and Ocean Beach.
